"FOREVER CHROME"

7/20/07 - After a long month at our factory in China, this is the fruits of our labor. 5th Issue/ Series 5 is an introduction to our new series, dubbed "The Over-Chrome Series." While their are many good and new techniques to simulate chrome in the diecast industry, we are producing all 100% of our 5th Issue with quality chrome plating. Essentially, every EVO SS Drag Bus in this series is a chase quality piece. Featuring 100% real chrome plating with a splash of liquid-transparent paint, "Kandy-Koated" if you will. The chrome plating process is very expensive to produce at the amount of real limited edition numbers that we make. But after several emails to us stating the beauty of the sample chrome EVO that was shown on KCD.com, we decided to move forward on something very special. And it turned out spectacular!

We didn't stop with only chrome-plating, we went the extra mile and injected a "Black Chrome" designated as our "Black Gold Edition" and a new "White Silver-Plated Chrome" we call the "White Gold Edition" Both of our super chase pieces will have a factory production run of only 48 units. Just a bit more to go around since our collectors seems to never let go of the random "Black Gold's" they receive.

"Forever Chrome" - We've seen the beauty of chrome cars keep their brilliance over the decades. The Over-Chrome Series is designed for just that! Shown above, are 2 of our chase editon's "Special K's" 1 of 192 units in Over-Chrome Pink and Over-Chrome Icey Blue! This image was taken in the twilight right off the assembly plant. The gorgeous Over-Chrome Purple is our 1/984 edition. What you see in the pic, believe it or not, did not pass our QC! There was a blemish spot in the paint and these will be destroyed. Yes, the bodies are drilled out from the chassis and the bodies with the windows in tack gets melted down. There are 3 crucial checkpoints to make sure we maintain the level of quality you expect in the KUSTOMCITY® Brand of diecast!

		*Quality by Design*
		An upclose look at our diamond plate platform that all EVO's will come on. Each display case is designed to be able to stack upon one another perfectly!
		*Deep Dished Rims*
		This is one of our rims, a 6 spoke DDish. Completely designed in 3D Engineering. Even after our mold was completed, we modified (EDM) the mold 2 more times to get it more crisp and detailed.
		*Detailed Rubber Tires*
		The tires? oh, they are sweet! Not too thick and not too thin. The stance? As low as it goes!

		*Detailed Metal Chassis*
		Here's a image of one of our blank base pre-production samples. This does not have any marks or copyright text yet but it is shown to illustrate that all our chassis will be connected to the body by a factory press of the body post. This ensure our product is 100% genuine leaving our factory.




		*Stackable Display Cases with Precision*
		We tested this at our factory in China and have stacked up to 15 displays upon one another! We stopped there because we just couldn't reach any higher. These are also designed to save space and are very portable.

		*MOMC? Let's Get Personal*
		The EVO's are designed so you can enjoy and handle the product. Let it breath, roll it around! The base is mounted on the display platform by 2 screws. Just make sure you keep the screws so you can mounted back. There's a big difference in purchasing something and never being able to "play" with it.

		*Acrylic Display Lid*
		We chose a high clear quality display lid to go with our cool diamond plate platform. We mention this because our first samples were thinner and just had a cheap feel to it. Why go through all this quality and put it in a flimsy lid?

		*Brass Bushings*
		So much thought has gone into this product. We've even used brass bushing around the axles instead of plastic to give the EVO's an absolute smooth precision roll! This most likely would have never been noticed by our collectors, but we feel the need to do it!
